There’s a little debate going on in the Democratic Party, and among American progressives in general. Is Hillary Clinton’s nomination by the Democratic Party to be the next President inevitable, and if it is inevitable, is that a good thing? Further, who will Hillary Clinton’s running mate be?
All the talk I hear, except from this weird guy I know who thinks Joseph Biden will be the VP pick, is that Barack Obama is the inevitable pick for Vice President in 2008. It’s going to be Clinton-Obama in 2008, they say… five months before the primaries even begin. It’s supposed to be the perfect match, something for everyone (except for those people who agree with Mike Huckabee, and think that there is no evidence for biological evolution).
Note to progressives: If you really want to see someone other than Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee, the time is NOW to get active. You can’t afford to wait until the beginning of November and hope to have a meaningful impact. Pick your candidate this week, and go with it.
