I am sick to death of hearing right wing dittoheads repeat the paranoid horror stories about health care reform that they’ve been fed by unscrupulous puppet masters paid by the medical insurance industry. Socialism! Dead babies! Grandmothers sacrificed for illegal immigrants!
As long as we’re surrendering to scare tactics in the health care reform debate, I say that we go whole hog, and go running down the street screaming, with our hands waving in the air.
That’s why I love this sarcastic bumper sticker, which captures the current tone of health care reform rhetoric in the terrified phrase: Health Care Reform Ate My Baby!
Dead babies? That will happen with Govt funded abortion. Abortion doensn’t make you un-pregnant, it makes you the mother of a dead baby.
Make Congress sign up for the same healthcare they are voting on for the rest of us.
I think people have forgotten our history. After Hillary Clinton tried and failed to impose health care reform our economy flurished. In the 70’s the recession ended because Regean came in and imposed tax CUTS not increases. Taxing the rich is not smart they own the businesses that employ us. What will happen when their taxes are increased they down size and cut programs like 401k and insurance. My family owns a SMALL business we are so close to going under everyday is a struggle. Fine us for not providing insurance and we will be out of business by the end of the year.
I think that people definitely need greater access to healthcare, but the proposed plan is definitely a bad idea. Our national debt is already out of control. Our grandchildren should not be burdened with having to pay for this. There has to be a better way.
