The days in which North Carolina could be categorized as another notch on the Bible Belt are gone. Backwards pockets still exist, but most residents of North Carolina today have extensive out-of-state connections. They’re an increasingly worldly people, and they reject the limited vision of a Bible-based life.
This bumper sticker is for part of the new North Carolina, in which private beliefs are actually, you know, a matter of private conscience: North Carolina atheists.
