Oh sure, there are other blogs that serve as catalogs for bumper stickers, but naming a bumper sticker, giving it a brief description and a price, well, that’s hardly blogging, is it?

I intend for Progressive Bumper Sticker to be a place where bumper stickers are really discussed and examined, not just linked to. Bumper stickers contain brief messages, but the messages aren’t necessarily superficial, and they’re located with a complicated social context that deserves discussion too.

Media studies of our time are incomplete if they don’t examine the role of bumper stickers. I intend this blog to fill the gap.

And why is this blog entitled Progressive Bumper Sticker? Well, I’m a political progressive, that’s why, and I intend to explore the world of progressive political bumper stickers.
