And every time I come across a bumper sticker condemning socialism on I10 or I40 or I90, I wonder why the people whose cars sport such bumper stickers would choose to travel on the interstate highways. The interstate highway system, you know, is a socialist big government program.

Come on, people, be consistent. You don’t like socialism? Then get off the highway!

She made clear in no uncertain terms the many ways in which John McCain stands in opposition to progress in the United States of America. Her most memorable line: No Way, No How, No McCain!” will be perhaps the most memorable bumper sticker statement of the 2008 Elections. So it makes sense that there would be an actual No Way, No How, No McCain bumper sticker. And here it is.

Over at Democrats.org, they’ve put together a sweet little website, Exxon-McCain 2008, a parody site that reveals the connections between John McCain and the oil industry. Did you know, for instance, that John McCain has put together a little $4 Billion legislative gift to the oil companies while he runs around telling the rest of us little people that he can’t afford to do anything that would help us out of this energy crisis? For shame, John McCain!

Bush 2004 bumper sticker to help reinforce the idea that John McCain is just four more years of George W. Bush.

The Print On Demand (POD) bumper sticker makers at Zazzle make a useful tool available to shopkeepers: statistics in rank order displaying the most-often bumper stickers viewed within a time period. The frequency of recent bumpersticker views on our Zazzle webshop (which sticks solely to bumper stickers with liberal messages on them) is an indicator of liberal sentiment about social and political causes of the day. What are these causes, and how do liberals orient themselves toward them?

The following are the ten most viewed liberal bumper stickers (not including our presidential election bumper stickers, which for purposes of clarity we rank separately) on our Zazzle webshop for the week of April 22-29, 2008:

6. Mark Twain Quote: “Loyalty to the country always. Loyalty to the government when it deserves it.”

7. Ben Franklin Quote: “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

These messages are what liberals are looking for now. These searches capture the frequency of the liberal wavelength that’s resonating outside the presidential campaigns right now. Ask yourself: do they reflect what’s happening inside the presidential campaign?
