Good Left Hook has this to say of Thaddeus McCotter, Republican congressman from Michigan: “Thaddeus McCotter may think of himself as a great leader, but on issue after issue, McCotter has been leading in the wrong direction..”

Irregular Times says, “Though McCotter is a balding lawyer, he fancies himself a rock-and-roller. He posts YouTube videos under the theme Rock Solid with Thaddeus McCotter, in which he plays guitar for a few seconds, wearing a shirt and tie, before having a discussion with another Republican member of Congress about why legislation should be passed to meet the demands of corporate executives.”

That’s My Congress points out that, in the last session of Congress, Thad McCotter introduced shameless pro-corporate legislation that provided tax loopholes to subsidize businesses that sell dog lingerie. No kidding.

Thaddeus McCotter will promote any stupid idea, so long as it comes from a corporate lobbyist holding a campaign donation in his hand. Thaddeus McCotter is corporate fodder.

Over at Democrats.org, they’ve put together a sweet little website, Exxon-McCain 2008, a parody site that reveals the connections between John McCain and the oil industry. Did you know, for instance, that John McCain has put together a little $4 Billion legislative gift to the oil companies while he runs around telling the rest of us little people that he can’t afford to do anything that would help us out of this energy crisis? For shame, John McCain!
