Mitt Romney is against marriage equality, rejects using science as the basis of public policy, wants to start new wars that will drain our nation of blood and dollars, and is eager to make Americans vulnerable to toxic substances by eliminating environmental protections.

Mitt Romney has gone from bad to worse. He was bad enough as a failed presidential candidate in 2008, but now in 2012, Romney has decided that the road to success is paved with trampled workers.

Mitt Romney declared this week that “I like being able to fire people.” That’s no surprise to those people who are aware of Romney’s history as an executive with Bain Capital, where he made money for himself and his partners by purchasing successful companies and then breaking those companies apart, destroying huge numbers of jobs in the process.

To make himself popular with the GOP voting base, Mitt Romney has embraced every lunatic fringe idea from the extreme right. He’s against marriage equality, rejects using science as the basis of public policy, wants to start new wars that will drain our nation of blood and dollars, and is eager to make Americans vulnerable to toxic substances by eliminating environmental protections.

America can’t afford to see four years of Mitt Romney in the White House. That’s why this Stop Mitt Romney bumper sticker was created. Put one on your car, and help rally opposition to the Romney campaign – before it’s too late!

The political story of Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is encapsulated in the fact that members of the “donor class” of the Republican Party are asking him to run for President in 2012. Just what is this donor class? It’s people with lots and lots of money – corporate executives and trust fund kids.

Chris Christie is wrecking the everyday economy of New Jersey in order to serve the selfish interests of the extremely wealthy and corporate executives.

After just eight months in Congress, U.S. Representative Blake Farenthold has come unhinged. The unexpected political pressure created by the extraordinary drought, heat and wildfires in Texas have applied such conceptual force to Farenthold’s ill-constructed ideology that’s it’s become warped and twisted into a monstrous shape.

First, Farenthold said that the federal government is a burden, not a help, but then within 24 hours turned around and begged the federal government to come help Texas deal with the drought, heat and wildfires.

Then, not long after Farenthold scoffed that global warming is just a scare tactic, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration released scientific data showing that the drought and wildfires currently afflicting Texas are part of an extreme climactic shift in which the United States as a whole is experiencing the second warmest summer ever, and Texas has endured the hottest average summer temperature recorded in any state ever.

Still, Blake Farenthold won’t admit that he was wrong. With the fires and smoke smothering Texas communities, Farenthold still pretends that global warming isn’t happening.

How much more suffering will Texas have to endure, before Blake Farenthold’s pride will allow his duty of public service to take precedence?

Global warming is real. Blake Farenthold is a fake.

However, Rick Perry also has a strong following among zealous right wing Republicans in Georgia. Put this bumper sticker on your car to show that many Georgia voters are opposed to Rick Perry - despite what the loudest portion of the Georgia Republican Party wants outsiders to believe.

A few days ago, a local opinion poll conducted by Channel 2 Action News found that Georgia Republicans favor Rick Perry over Mitt Romney by a margin of 9 percent. In response to this news, one Georgia voter commented, “I’m not saying Gov. Perry is ethically challenged but if it should turn out he is, well, that’s just icing on the cake. I am, however, saying he’s an idiot.”

Another Georgia voter wrote, “Rick Perry is just another Bush…..he’s working on getting big $$$ from the bailed out banks.” Yet another said, “Rick Perry is an idiot and so are the Georgians who support him.”

The combination of the strength of support for Rick Perry among Republicans in Georgia and the strength of opposition to Rick Perry among Georgia voters in general points to a struggle over the political identity of Georgia. There are many who are seeking to bring Georgia forward into a future that embraces the rich culture and knowledge of the world, but there are others who are struggling to avoid any advance for Georgia, trying to keep Georgia tied to a brutal and ugly past.

As a result, a large number of Georgia voters are appalled by Rick Perry’s extremist politics. However, Rick Perry also has a strong following among zealous right wing Republicans in Georgia.

Show where you stand in this struggle. Put this bumper sticker on your car to show that many Georgia voters are opposed to Rick Perry – despite what the loudest portion of the Georgia Republican Party wants outsiders to believe.

Today, even as the Iowa straw poll is being conducted, another Republican presidential candidate will be making his move: Texas Governor Rick Perry will be announcing his intention to run for President of the United States.

For extremist right wing Republicans, this is great news. For the rest of us, Rick Perry is too scary.

The case against Rick Perry:

- Perry has tried to withdraw Texas residents from Social Security and Medicare benefits.
- Perry has threatened to secede Texas from the United States.
- Perry has slashed support for education, leaving local communities across Texas devastated.
- Perry has used his office as Governor to promote certain forms of Christianity over other forms of Christianity, and over other religions.
- Perry has resided over a decline in economic prosperity in Texas.
- Under Perry, Texas has the highest amount of air pollution emissions of any state in the union.

Could Rick Perry do for America what he has done to Texas? Please, no! Rick Perry is too scary!

(Also available: A Rick Perry is too scary tshirt, which is made in the USA, and therefore, not scary at all.)

I am so confused. I’m trying so hard to be a good Republican and support the establishment standard bearer, Mitt Romney of Massachusetts (or is that Michigan? or is that Utah?). But I can’t decide what it is that I’m supposed to be supporting.

Am I supposed to be supporting the liberal Republican who championed equal rights for gay people? Or the conservative religious zealot who trashed gay and lesbian Americans on national TV? Or the newly fashioned quasi-moderate who just doesn’t want to talk about the subject?

Am I supposed to be supporting the Massachusetts Republican Governor who created a public health care system in which people pay for private plans in a government marketplace, or am I supposed to be supporting the presidential candidate who belittles a public health care system in which people pay for private plans in a government marketplace because it’s a crazy liberal policy, like those crazy liberals in Massachusetts?

Am I supposed to be supporting the Mitt Romney of yesterday who supported bailouts for automakers, or am I supposed to be supporting the Mitt Romney of today who thinks bailouts for automakers is socialist? What will Mitt Romney think about the subject tomorrow?

Am I supposed to be supporting the Mitt Romney of yesterday who liked a cap-and-trade approach to regulating carbon dioxide emissions, or am I supposed to be supporting the Mitt Romney of today who thinks cap-and-trade is ridiculous?

Way back, Mitt Romney was a credible centrist. Then Mitt Romney reinvented himself as a fire-breathing conservative. Now he says he’s a reasonable businessman with no axe to grind any more. Which of these faces am I to believe?

About the only thing I know I’m supporting with Mitt Romney’s candidacy is the hair-care industry.

Gosh, it’s hard to be a good Republican. I’m beginning to think that maybe there’s some part of that identity I should shed.

Rick Santorum is back on the public stage, after having been kicked out of the United States Senate by voters who were outraged with his ideological extremism. This time, Santorum is running for President of the United States.

Santorum claims to be a voice of moral virtue, which is why he wants the government to prevent people from getting married, so that they have to live together without consecration of their sexual relationships. Well, different strokes for different folks, I guess. Some people like their equal rights mixed in with intolerance and bigotry, is all.

During last week’s Republican presidential debate, Rick Santorum raised his hand to show that he supports the use of torture. If Santorum were elected President, he’d make sure that more people are tortured.

What kind of moral values are those? Rick Santorum gives me the creeps.
